Marvel Avengers Alliance Tactics Browser Base Initial Impressions

Marvel Avengers Alliance Tactics has a completely different storyline and gameplay compared to Marvel Avengers Alliance. MAA Tactics tackles Marvels multiverse (multiple universe) caused by the "Pulse". It created collision of other realities which is also why some known villains will be fighting side-by-side with the heroes. It is an all out war with other realities or dimensions and this is where the base building element comes in. The game adopts a base building mechanics which is also where the PVP comes in. The game rewards users for successfully attacking other players base and depending on the agents or heroes guarding each base it could mean success or defeat. It also helps to see playable characters animated in 3-D which is a leap forward and an impressive departure from what everyone was used to in Marvel Avengers Alliance. The game has a lot of room for improvement and potential. Knowing the same developer (Playdom) was behind this game, then we'll be expecting the same polish once MAA Tactics goes commercial.

Social Networking Websites - A New Home to Awesome Browser-Based Games

Browser-based games now found a new home through the various popular social networking sites. Browser-based games were once exclusively seen on web-based gaming (flash) websites which doesn't even require any sign-ups or some personal account information, but it is a different story now. Browser-based games have evolved just like its mainstream (console) video games counterpart. Although there are still browser-based games that does not require any sign ups or personal information details from its users, you can't expect these browser-based games to be as engaging as those seen on social networking site based browser games. Y8 is a perfect example of casual games that is reminiscent of the retro video games with no saves and just mindless fun.

Gamers can now save their progress of their chosen game if it is available. This is where the social networking site's user accounts comes in. Bigger and badder browser-based games now require a place to store a user's overall gaming progress (or save files) and the best way to do that is through their social networking accounts. This is the reason why besides the standalone official website of these new browser-based games, they also have a social networking site counterparts/version. Facebook and Google Plus are the most popular social networking sites as we make this article where you can see popular browser-based games that has now came a long way from what was our general idea of casual browser-based games.
